The City Treasurer is responsible for the receipt, investment, disbursement, and safekeeping of all City funds, in addition to assuring the proper handling and recording of all municipal funds.
All activities and responsibilities of the City Treasurer are carried out in strict adherence to the California Government Code.
Handles incoming city funds and oversees their investment.
Manages the outflow of city funds and maintains secure custody of financial assets.
Authorizes financial transactions and oversees the city's financial activities.
Provides periodic financial reports to the City Council, detailing the city's fiscal health and transactions.
Assists the City Council and Administration in financial planning, budgeting, and policies.
