The City Clerk is an elected position, with a term of four years. The Office maintains the city's democratic processes and ensures transparency and accessibility to public records.
Maintains all official records of the city, including Council agendas, minutes, ordinances, resolutions, and legal publications.
Ensuring that elections processes are conducted fairly and in accordance with federal, state, and local statutes.
Ensures adherence to various statutes, including the Political Reform Act, the Brown Act, and the Public Records Act.
Provides information to the public and facilitates access to city records.
Ensuring that the bidding process for city contracts and resources is conducted in an open, fair, and transparent manner.
Arranges public ceremonial and official functions.
