HOUSING PROGRAMS:
The City of Brawley offers assistance to owner-occupied homeowners to rehabilitate their home through the City's CDBG, HOME and CalHome Programs under the California Department of Housing and Community Development. These programs are designed to provide qualified households with a low interest rate loan to rehabilitate their single-family home. Housing Rehabilitation Program
The City of Brawley offers a housing rehabilitation program for owner-occupied homes. This program enables income qualified families to make needed health and safety repairs to their home. Loans are:
- Provided at an interest rate of 0-3%. Amortized and Deferred.
- Applicants must own the home and reside on the property for a minimum of one year.
- Loan amount depends on the severity of the repairs needed and the amount of equity in the home.
Homeownership Assistance Program
This program is intended to offer first-time homebuyers assistance to low and very low households for the purchase of qualified homes in the City of Brawley. These loans will enable applicants to qualify for permanent financing of single-family homes. The loans are for gap funding only.
First time home buyer means an individual(s) who have not owned a home during the three-year period before the purchase of a home with program assistance.
